Case Studies
Civil Engineering: Salmesbury Motorway Bridge
Salmesbury Motorway Bridge was extended to accommodate more lanes on the M6. The existing bridge used solid structural stone; the new extension was constructed having a concrete core with 100mm Ashlar Cladding.
Because we had to match the existing cutwaters, the design of the stonework was very complex; but with the aid of CAD and in conjunction with the engineers from both the contractor and the Department of Transport; we were able to mason the nosing accurately.
